Chamokane Lumber Company Secures Timber

Land for $125,000.

One hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars is involved in a big timber deal that has just been finally closed here between the Spokane Lumber company, and the Chamokane Lumber company. For this consideration the Spokane Lumber company, which is a part of the Washington Mill company, has given a deed to the Chamokane Lumber company for several thousand acres of timber land in the southeastern part of Stevens county.

Most of this is situated immediately across the Spokane river from the northwestern corner of Spokane county and stretches out over a territory of several square miles. While it is stated that the deal was made between the two lumber companies about four years ago, it was not finally settled until the latter part of last week.
