LARGE CREWS WORK ON LONG LAKE DAM

County Engineer C. L. Graves returned today from an Inspection of the Long Lake road, which the county is building around the immense reservoir that the Washington Water Power company is building in the Spokane [River] valley. Several crews of men are working on the road.

"When the Long lake dam goes in," said Engineer Graves, "there will be no bridge across the Spokane river between Nine Mile and the dam itself. The Lapray bridge now in existence will be 60 feet under water, according to the plans for the power site. The company has reimbursed the county for the destruction of the bridge and the money is being spent on the new road."
