Reardan Rancher Swears Out Warrant for Harry Young, Former Employee.


Judge Fred Witt in police court today had to go and look up the law a bit before he could issue a larceny warrant that charges Harry Young obtaining $100 in a rather manner, from Mrs. Josephine owner of a large ranch near Reardan.

“Young was working for Mrs. Ditmar for some time,” Judge Witt said, “and they finally came to a settlement, he was entitled to $160 in wages, but Mrs. Ditmar accidently got the figures mixed and gave him a check for $260 instead.

“He skipped out immediately and got the check cashed before she found the mistake. Mrs, Ditmar followed him to Spokane by automobile and swore out the complaint today. The law makes failure “to return money secured in such a fashion larceny.
