AIRCRAFT OF LOCAL DESIGN TO FLY HERE
Harold C. Deuther and Martin A. Denine will manage a flight of their new American monoplane from Pullman, Wash., to Spokane, 85 miles, June 15, according to announcement made by them today.
The machine is now at Pullman, though their aviation field is at Parkwater, where they will exhibit he machine later in June. The monoplane, according to Denine, is auto-stabilized and inherently balanced, and will be provided with a 70 horse power engine of the design of the two inventors.
The head resistance of the aeroplane has been cut down to a minimum and the fuselage is enclosed, among other distinctive features of the new machine, which spreads 34 feet and is 20 feet long.
Deuther, who is an aviator of long experience, from Buffalo, will pilot the machine on its flight from Pullman. It will circle over Spokane on its arrival.
A machine of similar design is under construction by the Denine-Deuther company, and will be offered to the United States war department.
