THOUSANDS ATTEND REARDAN MULE DAY

Monster Parade Followed by Judging—Baseball Game With Wilbur.

RBARDAN, Wash., June 9,—(Special.)—Five thousand people saw the parade and opening events today of the eleventh annual Mule day celebration here. At 10 o'clock the parade started moving through the streets of Reardan and by all odds it was the best ever seen here. Not only were the floats better than at any previous Mule day, but the entries in all the mule and team events exceeded anything ever seen here.

Ray Buchanan was awarded the $15 prize for the best mule team of six and C. Bernard got the $10 prize for the second best six-mule team.

To B. F. Moore went the $7.50 prize for the best single driving mule team and to George Hein went the second prize of $5 in this competition.

O. A. Menger was awarded the $5 prize for the best yearling mule.

The best six-mule team shown was that entered by J. S. Bartholemew. A prize of $15 went to the winner.

The judging is progressing slowly on account of the large number of entries and the high class this year. At 1 o'clock this afternoon the baseball game between Reardan and Wilbur was started.
