REYMER IS DEAD; BIG BEND PIONEER


Passes Away 2 at Home in Reardan—President of Hardware Underwriters.


John Raymer, age about 60, a well-known figure In the Big Bend country, died shortly before noon today at his home at Reardan Of internal trouble. The funeral and burial will be held from the Shepard & Hard parlors at Reardan.

Mr. Raymer was president of the Washington Hardware and Implement Underwriters, an organization handling the insurance on member firms of the Pacific Northwest Hardware and Implement Dealers’ association, composed of dealers in this line throughout the Pacific northwest.

Mr. Raymer had lived at Reardan since 1893 and during that time had conducted a hardware and implement store and about two years ago he opened an automobile business at Davenport, Wash. [[[Pioneer Auto]]] Mr. Raymer served one term in the Washington state legislature and his public and business acquaintanceship covered a large part of the state, according to Spokane friends.

He is survived by bis wife, three sons and one daughter.
