HOLD PAVELICH ON CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER

Manslaughter charges will probably be filed today against John Pavelich, driver of the car which crashed into the automobile driven by Dr. George H. Green, yesterday injuring the doctor so seriously he died later at the Sacred Heart hospital.

Prosecutor Charles Leavy and Deputy Prosecutor Frank Funkhouser stated last night that the charge would manslaughter. Pavelich was driving at a high rate of speed at the time of the accident, according to the report of the prosecutors following an investigation yesterday afternoon.

Coroner A. C. Baker stated that no inquest would be held, as he had been notified that the prosecutor's office was going to file a direct charge of manslaughter.

Pavelich denies that he was going fast and says that the doctor ran into him, He is in jail on an open charge with no bond set.
