STATE OUTLINES PAVELICH CASE

Witnesses will testify that John Pavelich was speeding in excess of 50 miles an hour up Fourth avenue just prior to the accident in which Dr. George H. Green was killed, according to the opening statement of Deputy Prosecutor Frank Funkhouser, made before the jury trying Pavelich on a manslaughter charge before Superior Judge Webster's court today.

The selection of the jury was completed during the morning and Attorney Richard Nuzum, representing Pavelich made a motion, to require the state to make the information more definite Pavelich is charged with three violations of the law; speeding, failing to drive in a careful manner, and reckless driving. Mr. Nuzum asked that the state be confined to one violation. The motion was denied by Judge Webster.

The Jury that is trying Pavelich is composed of the following: F. H. Fisher, J. H. Price, R. C. Blackman, Mrs. A. Geil, W. W. Wentworth, J. B.| Deasy, Gus Danforth, Sylvan Granssloff, H. C. Howlett, J. V. Newton, Leroy G. Valentine, and Jason Malloway.
