ACQUIT PAVELICH OF MANSLAUGHTER

Not Guilty of of Causing Death of Dr. George Green, Says Jury.

John Pavelich was acquitted on a manslaughter charge in connection with the death of Dr. George Green at Fourth and Division on March 5, by a jury in Superior Judge Webster's court last night.

The jury, which was composed of nine women, agreed to acquit on the third ballot. The case was given to the jury at about 5 o'clock and the verdict was returned at 10 o'clock.

Deputy Prosecutors Jesseph and Colburn attempted to show Pavelich was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the accident, while Attorneys Nuzum, Turner & Nuzum, appearing for Pavelich, contended Dr. Green's car struck the Pavelich car.
