PAVELICH TRIAL SET FOR JULY 6


Men Arrested on Jointist Charges Will Face Police Court Judge.


John Pavelich, 42, said to be the proprietor of the Montana bar, Trent and Washington, and Mike Chatonich, 42, bartender, are slated to go to trial on jointist charges in police court July 6. The date was set today by Justice Stooker.

The two men were taken into custody last night following a raid by police officers, who claim to have found two pints of moonshine, 20 dozen empty pint bottles and booze-handling paraphernalia.

When officers entered the place a signal was given from the bar that started a man tn the basement smashing bottles of liquor, the patrolmen said

Twice Convicted.

Pavelich has twice been convicted on liquor charges, police claim. He Was acquitted at one time in superior court on a charge of manslaughter growing out of the death of Dr. G. H. Green, whose automobile collided with a car driven by Pavelich.

E. C. Wold, 37, taken in the raid, is held for vagrancy. Joseph Lormer also taken from the bar, was fined $1 and costs today for drunkenness, and Oren Cunningham, another alleged drunk, was fined $5 and costs.
