BROUGHT FAMILY 5O YEARS AGO
Peter Tramm, 84, Was Pioneer Farmer and Banker—Dies on Visit to Germany.
REARDAN, Wash, Dec 19.—Peter Tramm, 84, an old-time settler of Lincoln county, died following a paralytic stroke in Schleswig, Germany, yesterday, according to a cablegram received by relatives here. He was on a year's visit to the fatherland and was ill for about two weeks.
Mr. Tramm and wife, with four small children, came to Washington from Wisconsin 50 years ago. landing in Cheney from Walla Walla, after having taken a boat from San Francisco. From Cheney, Mr. Tramm took his family by wagon to Reardan, where he bought a homestead of 160 acres. In 1897, he retired from farming, after having accumulated an estate of 800 acres of choice wheat land. He was a vice president of the Reardan National bank and was active in the Masons and Odd Fellows.

Born in Schleswig, November 6, 1845, Mr, Tramm came to America at 24 and settled in Wisconsin, where he married Miss Mary Fredrickson. Mrs. Tramm died in 1925. After her death, Mr. Tramm sold his Reardan property and made his home with his daughter, Mrs, Emma Stevenson of Spokane. In 1927 he made a trip to Germany. Last May, despite his age, he made a second trip.
He is survived by two sons, P. N. Tramm of Reardan and H. C. Tramm of Spokane; two daughters, Mrs. Stevenson and Mrs. William Wendlandt of Reardan; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grand-children.
The body will be returned from Germany.
