School Elections Around Spokane Draw Out Large Numbers to Polls. --- REARDAN OK’S BONDS --- $65,000 Issue for New School Gets 196 Margin—Hanford Issue Is Approved.
School elections held Saturday in the region surrounding Spokane in Washington resulted, in many cases, in the largest turnout of voters in the history of the communities. Many especial millage levies were voted upon, Invariably receiving approval, Results follow:
Reardan—The $65,000 bond issue, to be used in financing the building of a new grade school here, which will include a gymnasium and auditorium, carried in the election Saturday by a vote of 282 to 56. In the contest for director for the three-year term, Henry Brommer defeated Norman F. Raymer, 218 to 106, Three hundred and thirty votes were cast in the election, the largest poll in the history of Reardan.

Hanford—The bond issue for a gymnasium carried 99 to 5. A special...
F. Sparks, 69; C. E. Martzell, 55, Ten-mill tax: for 107, against 17.
Chelan—For school director, three years: C. R. Sargent, 815; Golda Ford, 181.
Davenport-—For school director, three years: Dr. J. F. Poynter, 124, Orwin Dow, 83; George Williams, 40.
St. John—For school director: J. R. Mulkey, 140; Chester Smith, 122. Proposal to sell part of school grounds defeated.
Bly Is Reelected.
Deep Creek—For school director, three years: Elmer Bly reelected.
Medical Lake—For school direcor, three years: W. H. Collingham 13, John Furhman 5. Two years: F. J. Watson. One year: John McLellan.
Cusick—For school director, one year: Otto Evers 70, G. M. Gould 58, in second precinct. Two years: J. Metcalf 116, Marian Devore 5, In Cusick consolidated district No. 41, The question of turning cement schoolhouse over to Calispel grange No. 500 carried, 71 to 35.
Colville—H. O. Bair was reelected school director without opposition.
Nerthport—S. M. Turner was reelected director without opposition.
Hartline—For school director, three years: E. Ira Evans 93, W, B. Roberts 76, A. J. Fredrich 15, A. G. Tilson 6 Two years: R. A. Volker 92, E. C. Hammerly 68, J. M. Osborn 29.
