REARDAN FARMER SUICIDES IN CELL

DAVENPORT, Wash. Feb. 14.—Eugene Lair, Reardan farmer, convicted in Superior court here last Thursday of second degree assault, committed suicide in jail here last night. The man hanged himself, using a reading lamp extension cord, fastened to the bars of his cell. The body was discovered by the sheriff today when he went to Lair’s cell with food.
