SPRAGUE MAN IS JAILED


George Toner, 71, Admits Having Booze—Fine Ritzville Driver.

DAVENPORT, Wash, Aug. 24,— George Toner, 71, Sprague, was brought to the county jail here yesterday, to serve 90 days, following conviction in a Sprague justice court on a liquor possession charge.

Paul Pence, Ritzville, was fined $25 and costs in justice court here yesterday, on a reckless driving charge. He was arrested near Sprague Saturday night by Sheriff Lew Hutsell.

Report was made to the sheriff's office here yesterday of a collision be- tween a sedan driven by Miss Ruth Schultz, Reardan, and a truck owned by Richard Wagner, farmer, Reardan. The car ran into the rear of the truck and was badly damaged. The truck also was damaged. Miss Schultz suffered slight injuries.

Ross McDougall lost three fingers of his right hand yesterday, when the hand caught in the gears of a combine at the W. H. McDougall farm north- east of town. He was treated by Dr. C. S. Bumgarner.
