Marion Carstens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Carstens, and Phyllis Hein, daughter of Mrs, W. J. Hein, were chosen valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of the Reardan (Wash.) high school graduation class. Marion Carstens is the first boy to hold the distinction since 1928.
