Detillion Bridge to Be Blown Up
Last opportunity for motor tourists to travel the scenic road along the lower Spokane river with any degree of comfort will be this week-end, Lloyd Crowe of the Inland Automobile association warned today.
Tuesday, the Detillion bridge north of Davenport will be blown up, the state highway department announces, due to rising backwater from the Coulee dam, and only crossing of the river in 22 miles will be via ferry at Miles, being reestablished for emergency use only.
