ELEVATOR FALL INJURES FARMER
DAVENPORT, Wash., Sept. 17 Earl Hein, young farmer of the Gravelle area southeast of Davenport, was injured critically when he fell into a concrete pit at an elevator at Gravelle station while working alone Tuesday afternoon.
The injured man was not discovered for about three hours. Dr. John Driscoll, Reardan, gave him first aid and C. W. Bumgarner took him to Spokane in his ambulance. Hein reportedly sustained a broken jaw, a possibly fractured skull and internal injuries.
