REARDAN LIONS NOTE BIRTHDAY

REARDAN, Wash., May 10.—Reardan Lions club observed their 10th anniversary Monday.

Twenty-seven of the charter members were present and are still active in the club. They were introduced and presented with pins and awards.

Four of these, Herman Ahlf, Lawrence Carstens, William Meyer and Vern Carstens had a perfect attendance for the 10 years and were given a special award.

Vern Carstens, a past president and now district president, was presented with a watch by Neil Hurd of Rockford, Wash., in behalf of Lions International, for his service to Lions clubs. Otis Beck, the club’s first president, was introduced.

Virgil Warren, Spokane, who organized the local club was present, accompanied by Mrs. Warren. There were several guests from the Spokane clubs, also, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Splid, Ritzville, Wash. Splid is president of the Ritzville Lions.
