Between 50 and 75 teachers from various points of the Inland Empire, where they have been conducting schools, registered for the normal school course of the Lewis and Clark High School today. More than 50 young people registered for the course in high school work, bringing the total registration on the first day far above the total registration of any former sessions. The normal course opened under the direction of J. A. Burke, principal of the Logan school, who has had several years’ experience as principal of the teachers’ training department of the Cheney Normal. The normal training classes are conducted with a view to aiding teachers in passing the state examinations this fall for higher grade certificates.


AN AEROPLANE factory and aviation school will be built at Parkwater, east of the city, according to Martin A, Denine of E612 Montgomery, Denine will head the company, which will build machines here, The factory will limit its output to D-9 model monoplanes, a type of machine which has been invented by Denine, This will make the second aviation school to be located at Parkwater, the one already there being the McClelland school, which is successfully operating several machines.


RALPH ROBINSON of. this city, a student of the University of Washington, was appointed by Mayor W. J. Hindley today to assist City Milk Inspector Ben Reinwald in the inspection of "one-cow" dairies within the city limits, Last week the mayor received a petition signed by more than 300 country milk producers asking for a closer inspection of these small city dairies. The appointment is only temporary, being for a period of six weeks, and therefore does not come under the provisions of the civil service, according to the mayor.


VEGETABLES, poultry and pet rabbits have been entered by school children in the garden fair being held this afternoon at the YMCA, the exhibitors numbering about 300. There are 45 poultry entries, and more than 100 rabbits. Judges are H. Campbell and T. J. Bolitho, for the rabbits; C, C. Koerner and L. C, Barrett, for the vegetables, and A. Melrose and A. Emskamp, for the poultry.
