Warner Foland, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Lawes, went to Fort Lewis Tuesday to enter the army. For several months he was with the army transport. His brother, Richard is in the navy and another brother, Raymond, was given an honorable discharge about 18 months ago.

Warner Foland, who was recently inducted in the army at Fort Lewis, has been assigned to infantry training at Camp Roberts, Calif. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Lawes.

Warner Foland, who entered the service last May and is taking paratroop training at Fort Benning, Ga., came home December 24 to spend a 25-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Lawes, brothers, Raymond Foland of Spokane and Richard Foland. This is the first Christmas that the boys have had together in five years.
