Photographs of the bridge at Long Lake Dam. There have been at least four:

  • A suspension footbridge was built before dam was constructed around 1910.
  • A steel trestle railroad bridge while the dam was being constructed about 1911. This bridge was converted to automobile use after the railroad line was abandoned in 1915. This bridge collapsed in October 1942 when a herd of sheep were driven across.
  • A temporary wood trestle bridge was built to get through World War II.
  • A concrete arch bridge built in 1949.

The Lapray Bridge was a predecessor to this bridge located about two miles upstream. The Lapray Bridge was flooded by the reservoir of Long Lake Dam.
