Gordon E. Krupke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Krupke, left on Thursday morning for the U.S. naval training center at San Diego, Calif. He was placed in charge of the group going from Spokane, and thus was known as "Corporal." His absence from Reardan will be felt in many of the groups. He was the leading scorer on the basketball team, and as a senior was active in school and class activities. The young people at the Evangelical church will also miss him for he was president of the C. E. [Christian Endeavor] Also vice president of the church orchestra and active in much of the church work. He was the leader of the young men who aided greatly to the excavating for the new church basement.

Gordon Krupke, former Reardan basketball center, writes from San Diego where he is in the navy training station, the he is playing center on the company basketball team. They won their third scheduled game by a score of 30-7. He was pleasantly surprised to meet Nessly of Creston, against whom he had played in Reardan in December.

Gordon Krupke, who is taking his boot training at San Diego, called his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Krupke, Friday evening. He and his basketball team are still willing all their games. He is master at arms and is coxswain of his boat.

Gordon E. Krupke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Krupke, was center on his company's basketball team that played three games in one day recently to capture the inter-company cage title at a San Diego navy base, where he is in training. The team played games at 4 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 8:30 pm, all on the same day and won them all. Krupke was the leading scorer on the Reardan high school team, when he was inducted several months ago.

Gordon Krupke, who is with the navy, informs his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Krupke, he has been moved from San Diego to the naval hospital at Oakland. His rating has been changed to hospital apprentice, second class. He entered the service in January before completing his senior year. Gordon was a star basketball player on the local high school team.

Gordon Krupke, U.S. navy, who is stationed at Oakland naval hospital, writes his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Krupke, that he hitch-hiked on a recent weekend to Camp Roberts, where he visited with his cousin, Donald Thompson of Spokane, also three Reardan boys, Warner Foland, Lloyd Nielson, and Harold Walters.

H. A. 1-c Gordon Krupke has been transferred to Oakland, Calif. from San Francisco. He entered the service last spring and is a graduate of the Reardan high school.

Mr. and Mrs. Eric Krupke have word that their son, Gordon Krupke, who is with the navy at Oakland, has been advanced to Pharmacist Mate 3c. He entered the service 14 months ago while a senior in high school.
Jack Frisk, who joined the navy a year ago, writes his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Frisk, from Oakland, Calif., that he has been promoted to Pharmacist Mate 3c. Jack is a graduate of the Reardan high school. [Jack and Gordon were high school class mates and now working as Pharmacist Mates at the same hospital.]
