Reardan Juniors Will Present Play

September 14, 1939 Davenport Times-Tribune

C. E. Perryman took his Smith-Hughes livestock judging team to the Stevens county fair at Colville Saturday to enter the judging contests there. The team placed second with 14 teams competing and were only six points behind the winning team. Sam Remmers was the second high point individual and Ellwood Landt seventh. The other member of the team is Bill Paul. Alternates are Ross Edwards and Jack Fleming. Friday the team will go to Davenport the enter the contests at the Pomona Grange and 4-H Fair. The new farm shop building will be ready for classes next week.

Reardan Commencement Program

Commencement exercises for the Reardan high school class of 33 members will be held next Wednesday, May 29, in the Reardan school auditorium. Bill Paul, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul, left Tuesday of this week for Seattle where he enlisted in the air corps, from there he will go to Randolph Field, Texas.

Bill Paul, son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul, writes that he completed his course at a gunnery school in Tampa City, Fla. He has been promoted to sergeant and will soon be moved to another camp for further training.

Sergeant William Paul came Monday morning to spend a furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul. He enlisted in the army air corps in January last year. He is a rear gunner on a bomber and graduated from a gunners' school at Tyndall, Fla., where he received his silver wings. He is now stationed at a bombing range at Avon Park, Florida.

Sergeant Bill Paul writes his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul, that he has arrived at his destination in North Africa. Before going overseas Sergeant Paul was stationed at Avon Park, Fla., for over a year. He is with the air corps.

Bill Paul, son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul, who is with the air forces in North Africa, writes his parents that he has been promoted to the rank of staff sergeant. Sgt. Paul has been in the army for nearly two years and is a rear gunner. He is a graduate of the local high school.

Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul have had word from their son, Staff Sergeant Bill Paul, that he has been transferred from north Africa to Italy. Sgt. Paul is a rear gunner with the air forces and has been in north Africa since about June. He received his silver wings at Tyndall, Fla., and has been in the service two years. He is a graduate of the local high school.

Staff Sergeant Bill Paul, an aerial gunner with the army air forces, arrived here Sunday for a fifteen day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul. He has been stationed in Italy and has completed his tour of missions over enemy territory.

Staff Sgt. Bill Paul left here Saturday after spending a furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul. He had returned to the states after completing a tour of missions over enemy territory as a tail gunner on a flying fortress. He was stationed in Italy and will report to Santa Monica, Calif.

Staff Sergeant Bill Paul is now stationed at Rapid City, S. D., where he is an instructor in gunnery for the army air forces. Sgt. Paul has been stationed in Italy and was returned to the states after completing his missions. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul.

Staff Sergeant Bill Paul, who has been an instructor in air craft gunnery at Rapid City, S. D., is now at Sheppard Field, Texas. He completed his missions as a gunner over European territory before being assigned to Rapid City. Sgt. Paul is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul.

Staff Sergeant Bill Paul arrived home Friday night from Sheppard Field, Texas. After a short furlough, he will report to Las Vegas, Nev. He is a gunner on a bomber and made many missions over European territory. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul.

Staff Sergeant Bill Paul arrived home Christmas Day from Las Vegas, Nev., for a few days furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul. He will report to Lincoln, Neb. He was a gunner on a bomber and made more than 50 missions in the European theater. His brother, Joe, who received his training at Fort Bliss, Texas, was also home for Christmas. He left the next day for El Paso, Texas, for his new assignment.

May 15, 1945 Davenport Times-Tribune

Staff Sergeant Bill Paul... writes his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul, he has been transferred to Rapid City, S. D., from Lincoln, Neb., where he will be an instructor. He is a gunner and completed 50 missions over enemy territory in Southern Europe.

Staff Sergeant Bill Paul writes his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul, that he has been moved from Rapid City, S. D. to Tyndall field, Panama City, Fla. He completed 55 missions over Europe and Africa as a tail gunner on a B-17.

August 9 1945 Davenport Times-Tribune

Staff Sergeant Bill Paul informed his parents that he was sent from Panama City, Fla., to Fort Lewis. Sgt. Paul completed his quota of missions as a gunner on a plane over Africa and Europe. Since arriving at Fort Lewis, he has been sent out with other troops to fight forest fires.

Sgt. Bill Paul came home last week from Portland with an honorable discharge, where he was with the army fighting forest fires for several months. He was a gunner and completed his tour of missions in South Europe. Before going to Portland, he was at Rapid City, S. Dakota. Sgt. Paul is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Paul.
