Rev. Charles B. Marrs, Boy Scoutmaster, and C. F. Joslin took the Reardan Scout troop to Spokane to swim at the Y. W. C. A. Wednesday night. Rev. W. S. Plowman, assistant Scoutmaster, Loyd McLain and Billie Colville furnished the cars. The boys were Billie Colville, Tommy Walsh, Jack and Jim Delamater, Jimmy Rinker, Carl Garber, Harold Mann, Glen Anderson, Richard Foland, Dean Anyan, George Koeller, Earl Travis, Marvin Evers, Berne Barnard, Carl Koeller and Elmer Wendlandt.

The second summer outing of the Luther League was held at Loon Lake last Sunday with 40 attending. The committee in charge included Harold and Glen Anderson; Lorraine Brommer, Joe Cox, Ardith Edwards, Mary Jean Hopkins, Harriet Mahrt, Chairman, Margaret Olson, Bertha Schwartz and Martha Wegner. Special guests were George Reinbold and brother and sister of Egypt country. The last outing will be held August 27 and member of the committee to make arrangements for it are Katherine Bull, Carl Koeller, Doris and Lorene Nielsen, Doris, Evelyn, and Phyllis Plaster, Ruth Olson, Zelda Sprinkle, Gordon Thomas, and Marjorie Wegner. This committee will meet Thursday evening, August 24.

Twenty-two Seniors to Graduate Tonight
Twenty-two seniors will be graduated from the Reardan high school tonight, Thursday, at the commencement program in the school auditorium at 8 p. m. Roger Mahrt is president of the class, Doris Nielson, vice president, Vera Peck, secretary, and Gene Rettkowski treasurer.
The valedictory address, "Political Victory," will be given by Roger Mahrt, and the salutatory, "Social Victory," by Vera Peck. The theme of the program is "Victory." The program includes

Glen Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Anderson left Saturday night for Fort Douglas, Utah, after being inducted into the army on Saturday morning. He did not take his 21-day furlough. Glen is a graduate of the local high school and attended Washington State college.

Private Glen Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Anderson, writes that he is in New Guinea, having left the States about six weeks ago. He is with a replacement battalion with the infantry and has been in the service since September. He received his basic train at Camp Roberts and Fort Ord, California.

Private Glen B. Anderson writes his parents that he has been transferred from New Guinea to New Britain and has also been taken from the infantry and placed in a guard squadron and is now an M.P. He is a graduate of the local high school and entered the army last October.

He is with the infantry and entered the army two years ago, while a junior in high school. He says that while in New Britain, he met Glen Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Anderson.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Anderson had word from their son, Pfc. Glen Anderson, that he has been moved from New Britain to the Philippines. He is with an M.P. platoon with the 4th infantry division. Glen entered the service in October 1943, is a graduate of the local high school, and attended the Washington State college.

Private First Class Glen Anderson is with an infantry unit and writes his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Anderson, he has been transferred from Panay Island in the Philippine group to Tuswan [Pusan?], Korea. He says that Melvin Aman is in the same division he is, and that they were on the same boat going to Korea. Pfc. Anderson entered the service two years ago, serving more than a year in the Pacific. Prior to going into the service, he was a student at Washington State college.
