Rev. Charles B. Marrs, Boy Scoutmaster, and C. F. Joslin took the Reardan Scout troop to Spokane to swim at the Y. W. C. A. Wednesday night. Rev. W. S. Jimmy Rinker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rinker, enlisted in the marine corps last week and was called to Spokane Tuesday where he was sworn in. Jimmy is a member of this year's graduating class.

Pfc. James Rinker called his parents Monday and told them that there was 4 inches of snow on the Mojave desert in California. Last week it was so hot they were working in their shirt sleeves. Pfc. Rinker is with the fire department at the marine corps base. He entered the marines in June and is a graduate of the local high school.

Pfc. James Rinker arrived home Sunday morning from the marine air corps base at Mojave, Calif., for a furlough visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rinker. Pfc. Rinker has been in the service for over a year and is with the marines fire department. He is a graduate of the local high school.

Pfc. James Rinker, who was sent out of the States, writes his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rinker, that he arrived safely at his destination, which he is not at liberty to disclose. He says he is on a beautiful island with good barracks and beds. He is a field telephone technician in the marine air corps. He graduated from Reardan high school in 1943 and soon after joined the marines.

Marine Private First Class James Rinker has written his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rinker, he is on the Marshall islands, He entered the service 28 months ago and was with the communications department on a bomber squadron, that cleaned up bypassed islands in the Pacific. The group has been broken up and he is waiting reassignment.

Private first class Marine James Rinker arrived home last week for a thirty day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rinker. He entered the service in June, 1945, and the last year was based on the Marshall Islands where he was a field telephone man in the communications department of the Marine air corps. Following his furlough the will report to El Toro, California, to await his discharge.

Private First Class marine James Rinker left Sunday for Santa Ana, Calif., to await his discharge. He joined the service in June 1944 and served in the Pacific. Private Rinker spent a 30-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rinker.

Marine Corporal James Rinker had his discharge April 20 at San Diego, Calif., and arrived home Saturday. He served 34 months, 14 being in the Pacific with the communications department of the Marine Air Corps. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rinker.
